We used to make sausages and sell them locally here in Wiltshire.
Occasionally we’d have more sausage meat than sausage sales, so we thought we’d make a few scotch eggs. We found ourselves selling far more scotch eggs than sausages, as a result in 2018 Hettie Hen was hatched.
We source our meat and eggs locally as we can, we make to order, so everything is fresh (and there’s no waste!).
We’re based on the National Trust’s Stourhead Estate, Wiltshire https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/wiltshire/stourhead so we could say that the beauty and peace of our surroundings is fed into our eggs (Well the wild garlic is!)…but that would be pretentious, so we won’t. Instead we’ll just let you know about the awards we’ve won.
