We used to make sausages and sell them locally here in Wiltshire. Occasionally we'd have more sausage meat than sausage sales, so we thought we'd make a few scotch eggs. We found ourselves selling far more eggs than sausages, and Hettie Hen was hatched.

Were Wessex to our boots! We source our meat and eggs locally, both being free range and most of what we make, we make to order, so everything is fresh(and there's no waste!).
We're based in Warminster, not far from the Boyton Estate, where it all began with the famous Tamworth Pigs, so we could say that our heritage is fed into our eggs, well it is, and it isn't...but that would be pretentious, so we won't.

The Farmhouse: You guessed it: local mature cheddar cheese and a farmhouse pickle added to the sausagemeat.
The Spanish: A chorizo scotch egg with warmth and spiciness from paprika.
VEGETARIAN SCOTCH EGGS
Classic Veg: A blend of salt, black pepper, and herbs is added to the bean mix to create a well-seasoned veggie scotch egg without the meat.
The Chilli Veg: Yes, that's right—a chilli veg egg made with beans, chickpeas, and lentils mixed with our Wiltshire Firecracker chilli seasoning for some kick.
